Description
This is a great entry level civil war musket for reenactors. It was made by Antonio Zoli & Co. In Italy, for the Sears, Roebuck & Co. The rifle is the .58 caliber common to both the Springfield and Enfield muskets of the civil war. It is a Rifled Musket, meaning though it has rifling, the end of the barrel is smooth bore for ease of loading. It takes a standard musket cap. The rifle is very clean, and in great shape other than some miner dings in the wood finish, and some surface rust in the bore. In the patch box are two spare musket sized nipples, a threaded ball puller, and a cleaning patch loop for the metal ramrod. It has beautiful color case hardening on the lock, bluing on the rest of the steel. A brass butt plate, and patch box, 2 brass bands. It has a bayonet lug on the barrel, and sling swivels attached to the trigger guard, and front sling swivel. This is a solid rifle.
