Description
Japanese Type 99 Nagoya Arsenal transitional last ditch rifle. Towards the end of World War II the manufacturing process of these rifles began to have short cuts to get arms out to the troops quicker. The bolt handle has a cylindrical “knob” instead of the round ball style knob on earlier rifles, the stock and machining isn’t as refined as the earlier rifles, this one does have a chromed barrel, the rear sight is a smaller carbine style. The mum has been ground off. The firing pin and bolt end cap are the only two parts not matching the serial number.
