It's about 230 years old and in really good shape, with the original ram rod. It was made in Britain by waters RYE a relatively well known gunsmith of the time. It's has very beautiful engravings, as well as a Damascus barrel and very nice wood/brass furnishings. The flint and lock is new but high quality and hand fitted by a professional gunsmith. It was sold to me as safe to fire but I haven't because of how indepth the cleaning process is. The wood is probably my favorite part of it, there's something about the feeling of holding something that has been cared for, for hundreds of years.
