Originally manufactured in 1943. Rifle is finished in arsenal reapplied blue with black painted mounts. Standard hooded post front sight and tangent rear. Iron sights are superseded by a 2009 production 4X PU scope on a side mount. Sniper style extended bolt handle. Lacquer finished finger groove birch stock. Externally visible Russian serial numbers are matching, including scope base. Floor plate appears renumbered. PW Arms import marked and numbered on the receiver. A copy of the export paperwork listing this rifle by serial number as a sniper rifle with the scope also listed by serial number, and the original scope manufacture paperwork are included. A force matched cruciform bayonet, web sling, ammunition pouch, oiler, and tools also accompany this lot. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains the vast majority of its arsenal finishes with light wear. Stocks have some areas of finish loss and impressions. Strong, well defined bore. Fine mechanics. Clear optics.
