Seller's Comments and Description:

You are looking at a stunningly beautiful Fajen National Match Stock, originally made for the U.S. Military Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) over 31 years ago , manufactured in Feb. 1989. The stock has been in a plastic bag and box the entire time and was only removed from the bag for the purpose of taking pictures. It is crafted out of Beechwood and has some of the most beautiful grain I think I've ever seen. This does come with a handguard, I just forgot to take photos of it with the stock. Stock is flawless with no dents, dings, scratches, splits, etc. It is actually darker than it appears in the photos and has the steel M1A buttplate, ferrule, and sling attachments, all new. Fajen made these in such a way that no stock liner was required so that's why you don't see one on it. It was machined at the factory for a rear lugged receiver but researched it and found out that you can still use with a standad receiver if you wish. Anyone into these rifles likely knows what the "Big Red" stocks are because they are very desirable due to their extra girth in all the right places so consider the big red version like a popsicle stick in comparison to the Fajen NM stock in beefiness - these are the cream of the crop when it comes to a heavy target stock that holds up. These don't come available often and NONE of them I have seen look like this - a Big Red stock thats decent will cost you about the same amount as this but won't be nearly as thick . Remember, these were made specifically for the Army Marksmanship Unit, so you know they were made to hold up. If interested, send a text to 208-207-6868
